Art Nouveau Grand Champagne Cooler OR Jardiniere

Art Nouveau grand champagne cooler  could be used as a handsome jardiniere.  Load it up with five or six bottles of sparkling wine to

keep chilled for a big holiday party…or fill it with flowers, orchids or a lush green fern.   This beauty, made in the early 20th Century  has great details done with a nod to Jugendstil (a school of design a  bit more streamlined than Art Nouveau and paving the way for the Art Deco Era that followed it.)

An example of great  German silver-plate ,  this exhibits many classic details: curving  ”organic” arms and legs ,lines and “medallions” done in repousse relief.  This is a very special piece!
