Vintage Macabo Wood and Silver Italian Cocktail Shaker

Vintage Macabo Wood and Silver-plate Italian Cocktail Shaker. Recently restored, inside and out, a very rare and unusual shaker. May have been designed by Aldo Tura known to have worked with this company, obviously an excellent design. Could certainly be used to make cocktails, the warmth of wood feels great in your hand. I've not ever seen one like this before.

The Macabo stamp is on the bottom, with a whale in the middle, made in Italy. I would guess in the 1940s production. The Italians always going with a more forward design idea this is an exceptional piece and great for an advanced collection. What appears to be a find construction line running vertically as this is a fitted custom-made piece. A similar shaker from the same manufacturer is displayed in "Vintage Bar Ware" by Stephen Visakay on page 210.
