Roland PARIS (1894-1945) is an artist born in Vienna, Austria. He went to Berlin and studied with Henry van der Velde, co-founder of the Bauhaus school.  His specialty was humorous, sometimes satirical bronze and ivory figures, often with exaggerated facial expressions.  His works command high prices and are sought after by avid collectors.

A new book by Alberto Shayo (famous author of book on Chiparus) has just been published showing off the many original and creative ideas from drawings, paintings, sculpture etc. The piece being offered here is represented in this book as part of his body of work.
