Wonderful original French iron lamp iron with original glass signed D'Avesn Paris

Wonderful original French table or desk lamp designed by French artist Pierre D’Avesn. Nice details with original appointments, even the on/off switch. It is always nice to see original glass and original iron work that was designed to be together , not a “marriage” of separate pieces (as are much of lamps currently found on the internet). Of course it would look great on your desk or bedside, nice details on molded glass, with an almost mushroom shape and artist signature molded into the lower part of the glass edge.

D’Avesn designed some of Lalique’s most well known pieces including the “Serpent” and “Tourbillon” vases. His resume includes stints as designer and Manager at Daum, Sevres and Verlys. He started producing his own pieces in 1927. Pierre D’Avesn is an artist/designer whose work is of the highest quality.
