Spectacular Muller Freres Luneville Peacock Art Deco Chandelier

Item #1649 SOLD

Here is chance to own something special. These larger multiple glass fixtures are rarely available. I don’t think we’ve shown one with this much glass in over 4-5 years. This high style, deep relief, peach glass peacock motif is breathtakingly repeated in the six tulip shades and the hexagonal center bowl. Even more rare is that the peacock motif is brilliantly echoed in the wrought ironwork.

The stylized, geometric-inspired peacocks with their fanned wings, strut their way across the whole fixture! Fantastic original patina. It has everything you would want in a great 1930′s French art deco light fixture.

The condition is near perfect with no chips, cracks or manufacturing flaws that I can see.

About Muller Frères: A were a French glassmaker who were located in Lunéville, France. They were renowned to produce art nouveau glasworks such as vases and lampshades. The Müller family originally came from Alsace. Some members of the family worked together with Émile Gallé before starting their own business.
