Tall Faceted Black and Yellow Palda Vase

During the Art Deco Period, each country contributed something that was it's specialty in design. Think of Belgian Pottery, French Iron Work, German Silver....but without a doubt, the single most strking thing to be made in Bohemia was the exciting and thoroughly moderne crystal creations. And of all the beautiful glass and crystal, none is more stunning than the work of Karl Palda, a true visionary in his fairly avant garde patterns. This delicously tall and carefully facted yellow and black vase also incorporates a delicate deco floral motif within in its bold , geometric outlines. A wonderful find!
