A French Art Deco Glass Vase in a smoky "topaz"  tone with a great textured surface and those dramatic scalloped "handles " that echo some of the shapes created by the glass masters such as  Lalique. This example was made for Daum by Pierre D'Avesn .

It is hard to imagine the miracle of glass being formed- literally blown through tubes of air into a molten mass and then fashioned with such artistry.
