Art Deco Console Black Lacquer Biedermeir Style
Item #2135
This classic Art Deco Era console in a combination of black lacquer , ivoroid dot detail and highly polished wood
also evokes the elegant, clean lines of the Biedermeier era. Notice the faceted columns, the warm mahogany wood grain and the stepped up base: Decorative, but with a nice restraint.
Of course the Biedermeier style was something developed in Germany in the early through middle 1800s but those principles of design resurfaced in the early 20th century and were especially embraced in the pieces also made in Vienna and Hungary.
We found this nice piece in South America and had it restored for you to use in a variety of ways.
Picture it in the entry way, or with its slim silhouette consider placing it behind a couch in the center of a room.
