Gleaming Blue 1950s Arvin Model 451T Vacuum Tube Radio. Highly desired and sought after Arvin model in blue. Tabletop tube AM radio manufactured by Arvin in 1950 time frame in excellent working and physical condition. The cabinet is original factory blue painted Bakelite that has been repainted mirror glossy blue. No cracks, chips or major scratches. Matching original knobs are intact, securely attached. The tuning knob is in excellent condition with no pitting, rust or chips. Volume works with smooth even attenuation across the entire range. This radio is one of the better ones for listening purposes. Loud and clear reception. Picks up many stations other radios have not. The original tuning ring is intact, with no cracks no chips.

 

The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked. We’ve added a 1/8 inch input adapter which will allow you to use this with your Bluetooth connection, iPhone, smartphone, iPods, or record player. Access your old vinyl, or tune into Pandora, Apple Music, or the playlist on your computer to provide the tunes and use the Bluetooth connection to bring the warm, bright, analog sound of a tube amplifier to any music or recordings you choose. The quality of the sound is excellent – just ask any guitarist since these kinds of tube-based amps are still being made and used today. You will have the best of “digital” and “analog” combined.
