Art Deco Philco Tombstone 16B circa 1935 Restored Tube Radio Bluetooth

The Art Deco Philco Tombstone 16B circa 1935  is a  fully restored tube radio now with added  bluetooth capability.  This  exceptional  16B "second series" with an improved circuit for great performance is an eleven-tube, four-band (AM, SWx3) radio .  All capacitors and tubes  have been changed, checked or  replaced as needed.  The original ten-inch speaker is present and this big radio produces ten watts of "push-pull" audio. A fuse has been added for safety and a cable has been added to play your bluetooth devices.

The  unique shape is referred to as a "tombstone" and is often called the "Holy Grail of Philco Collecting". It has been refinished in lustrous semi-gloss with  the tones and lacquer having been professionally completed and the grille cloth is an authentic reproduction.

Additionally, this radio has been fitted with an 1/8 inch adapter which will allow you to use this with your iPhone, smartphone, iPods or record player. Access your old vinyl, or log on to Pandora, Apple Music or the playlist on your computer to provide the tunes and use the Bluetooth connection to bring the warm, bright, analogue sound of a tube amplifier to any music or recordings you choose. The quality of the sound is excellent – just ask any guitarist since these kinds of tube based amps are still being made and used today. You will have the best of “digital” and “analogue” combined.
