Baccarat Art Deco Decanter and Green Glasses

A Decanter and glassware from the famous company Baccarat of France in a checkerboard pattern etched into the glass. Some of the finest glassware in the world comes from Baccarat, founded in 1764. This set from the Art Deco Era has a voluptuous clear glass decanter and eight green glasses with clear glass bases.

Imported to Buenos Aires and sold in Harrod’s Department Store which also featured a dramatic chandelier in the main entryway also made by Baccarat. Today, the Argentine branch of Harrod’s has been closed for decades but Baccarat maintains a lavish museum in Paris where centuries of their designs can be viewed.
