Art Deco Poster EMPOR by Linz Metalworks
Item #3602
EMPOR, a bold avant garde design on this Austrian poster printed in 1930 from iron works/metal works factory . The geometric almost neo-fascist view of workers bearing the letters to the German word EMPOR which means “up” or “upward” really is in contrast to the product they are promoting… baby strollers! At first glance it might appear to be a political poster, but… kinderwaggen is a children’s carriage
The condition of this original, lithographed poster is excellent. Rendered in strong colors of black, white, navy and red – it has no flaws and has been professionally backed with linen
In fact, strollers, carriages and prams often were exceptionally stylish, streamlined and moderne in this era!
