Fashion and the Art of Pochoir
Item #3477
Fashion and the Art of Pochoir by April Callahan and Cassidy Zachary is a collection of the magazine illustrations of the “golden age of fashion” in the 1920s and 30s. What makes these illustrations so unique is that they were done wth the technique of “pochoir” which is a blend of printed outlines where color is added by hand- meaning that the magazines that people purchased were actually created with hand stenciled paints. The book features reprints of the richly tinted plates in the Art Gout Beaute publications.
