A wonderful French 1930s pair of art deco table lamps by the Paris-based company of Léon Hugue, A nickel-plated solid brass or bronze base holds a signed cube in a clear frosted molded-pressed glass. This rare and outstanding lamp design has been completely rewired with an original style cloth braided cord, vintage style on/off switch, and original French bayonet style light bulb sockets. Has the original European plugs and is accompanied by US adaptors and bayonet LED light bulbs. The condition of the glass is excellent, with no flaws. Plug them in and you are ready to go.
Léon Hugue was a producer of art deco lighting in Paris during the Art Deco period. He often used Degué-made shades for his fixtures. The Hugue signed cube on these lamps was also made for Hugue in the Degué glass factories.
