Czech Decanter set by Eduard Poesch, Bohemia circa 1944 with Matching Glasses

Item #2798 SOLD

Czech Decanter set by  Eduard Poesch, exceptional Bohemian quality and very unique design. Signed by the artist and made in 1944.  Bold, geometric designs in an octagon-shaped glass with faceted decanter all part of the Czechoslovakian Bohemian glass production. A finely crafted and embellished set, very unusual and beautiful indeed. Each glass piece is also signed. Checkerboard design makes this a very unique set to enjoy and use.

The name “Czechoslovakia” was coined in 1918  when it became sovereign and separate from the Austro Hungarian Empire.  The glass and crystal industry in the region of Czechoslovakia created the most spectacular Art Deco designs with the highest quality of glazing. It is the perfect decorative item for your home and away, this year, to celebrate the “return of the 20s!”
