1930s Art Deco Czech Whiskey Decanter Set Karl Palda

Item #1666 SOLD

This is not only one of the nicest, it’s also one of the most substantial decanter sets we’ve seen in years. It represents a stunning example of 1930s Czech Bohemian glass-work and design. These designs are often associated with Karl Palda The glass is in perfect condition: two toned yellow and black enamel and is very heavy and beautifully engraved with a simple, striking Modernist design. The glasses are quite large and very useable. They’re perfect for scotch, rum, cognac, añejo tequila or you name it. The set comprises one large decanter with stopper, six large octagonal glasses, on-the-rocks or straight-up this set (and its future contents) will take your day to an all-too-seldom experienced 1930s sophisticated level of calm. “Scotch and soda, mud in your eye, baby do I feel high…”
