Art Deco Horse Bas Relief 1930's Interior Large Copper Design
Art Deco Horse Bas Relief 1930′s removed from a bar in Belgium. I acquired it over 30 years ago. One-of-a-kind symbolist design stylized using artistic symmetry. A pair leaping of horses intersected with circles, curved lines, linked to each other to help create a real sense of power and speed. The dimensional treatment is not lost in appearance, texture, or the overall design.
The construction is hand-carved, using a plaster material that was mounted on a wood backing for support and stability (picture enclosed). This is a unique sculptural design that is powerful and a pleasure to look at. Many possibilities to display this one-of-a-kind Art Deco design.
