Art Deco Round Chrome Five Piece Tea and Coffe Set on Tray

A modernist Art Deco Tea Set in highly polished chrome with a distinct round shape that references the uniquely round tea set crafted by Christofle for the SS Normandie in 1930.

This set is not marked and it is shiny chrome (not silver) but it has the feeling of the iconic set that was used on the famous cruise ship.  Streamlined  in design, the embellishment is concentric circles on the face of each piece as well as the voluptuous, rounded handles.

Two matching pots – one slightly smaller than the other- can be used for coffee and tea, or perhaps “decaf and regular”, or black tea and herbal.   The insides are crisp and clean, the large flat tray useful in so many ways.
